Our medical director is a well traveled and diverse physician. Dr. Seth started on his path to helping people by studying Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He graduated from the University of Arizona School of Medicine. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Texas, Houston, and his Interventional Pain Management fellowship at Northwestern University. He is double board-certified in anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr Seth works as part of our team to help restore patient functionality through a multimodal approach to pain management.

Alex J. Nelson, MD

Neurology and Pain Management

Dr. Alex Jonathan Nelson was born and raised in northern Utah. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah, he attended "The Ohio State University College of Medicine". In addition to his medical doctorate, he also completed the requirements for a Master of Health Administration in the OSU College of Public Health after receiving a university graduate fellowship. Dr Nelson is board certified in Neurology and Pain Management. Dr. Nelson will be seeing patients with any type of chronic pain, but has particular clinical interest in the treatment of headaches and neuropathic pain conditions. Dr. Nelson is very happy to be returning to his roots in northern Utah. Outside of medicine, his interests include literature, outdoors, watching the Utes and Buckeyes play football, church service, and spending time with his beautiful wife, two crazy little boys and sweet little girl.
Bryan Hainsworth

Bryan Hainsworth


Bryan comes from a microbiology and immunology background. He trained in Pain Management and Addiction Medicine as part of his Masters of Science of Physician Assistant Studies at Western University of Health Sciences in southern California. He has worked in both interventional and medication-based pain management from a physiatry and neurology background. His personal interests and field of study include the use of hormone replacement therapy and physical therapy as an adjunctive and replacement for traditional pain management.

Scott joins our team with many years of pain management experience, with a general focus of injection therapy. He obtained his Physicians Assistant Degree at the University of Utah. Has a background in Pediatrics, first working in the NBICU at the University Hospital right after graduating and onto a Pediatrics practice where he was for 12 years. He then worked with the Police and Fire Departments through the Salt Lake County Health Department. Scott helped organize the Medical Reserve Corps of Salt Lake County. He then jumped into Emergent Care in Lake Powell and Urgent Care, where he discovered Pain Management starting with Injection therapy and progressed into Med management and has been since. His personal interests include playing the bagpipes and Old Hotrods.

Taylor Swenson


Taylor is a nurse practitioner who obtained his credentials through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Taylor obtained his undergraduate degree from Utah State University before earning a nursing degree from Weber State University and his nurse practitioner degree from the University of South Alabama. Taylor is a Utah native and before joining the team at Peak Health and Wellness had the pleasure of working with under-served populations in Salt Lake, Tooele, Davis, and Weber Counties His interests in the specialty of pain medicine are treating diabetic neuropathy and using in office procedures, such as injections, to help patients find relief from their pain. Taylor's personal interests include hunting small and big game, playing the piano and organ, and learning about pirate shipwrecks.
